this nondescript wall looms like nothing ever seen
transplanted over an image of wild plantains
soaring atop an ocean of chromatic drifts
where behemoths mount the waves like neo-luddic
metaphors for cylindrical tubes, a phalanx of death
come to rear end these smoldering remains of a
civilization meant to transcend a red petaled ranunculus,
inadequate as a shrunken couch in the lap of luxury.
How do the images not fade along with the
dwindling pace of frenetic thoughts?
They remain, etched upon tortured retinas,
like the lives lost or never realized
unto the sands of Elysium
where only worms are satisfied

  8. jesusgod, tom. truly, i wonder what you might become if you were allowed in the woods for a week. these tubular metallic drum sticks that you use can be cruel to the soul. that is only to say that you must experience something that is not humane and reflect it here for us.

    god, you know language!

  12. Dear palatial: Delicate dance of neural display and so vivid! As it is best to use wisely before due date, and to "get thee" to a library post haste to find what exactly is in store in those elusive Elusian fields. An erudite and academically inclined poem!

  15. A little intimidating on first acquaintance, but the images won out and convinced. I shall probably come back for another read. Impressive.
